Zoom – Record a Meeting

This guide describes how you record a meeting in Zoom

Prerequisite: Zoom installed and logged in

Click: Start with video

Click at the green button

Choose your prefered microphone…

…and camera

Press Record in order to begin recrding

Press the Stop button to end your recording

The following message shows

Press End Meeting…

…and End Meeting for all

Your recording is converted

Your recordings is saved in date marked folders in the folder Zoom located under Document

 

 

Zoom – Schedule a meeting and publish the link in Moodle or Cambro

This guide shows how to schedule a meeting in the Zoom app and how to publish the link in Moodle or Cambro.

Start the Zoom app on your computer

Click on the icon Schedule

Type the title for the meeting, start time, and duration
Decide if the attendees webcam should start automatically when they connect to the meeting
Set the audio options for your meeting.

  1. Allow only connection by telephone
  2. Allow only connection by VoIP (computer, smartphone, tablet)
  3. Or allow both types of connection

Click on Advance Options to access more settings (4)

  1. Decide if you want participants to use a password to access the meeting
  2. Decide if you want participants to be able to start the meeting before the host has joined
  3. Decide if you want participants microphone to be muted on entry
  4. Decide if you want to use your personal meeting ID (not recommended)
  5. Decide if you want to record the meeting automatically
  6. Type e-mail adresses to alternative hosts

Choose in what calendar format you want to save your meeting. Click on iCal to save the event in your default calendar program on your computer.

Click on Schedule to save your meeting

Next your calendar app on your computer will start and all the information from the previous step is saved.

Publish the link to the meeting to your students

Go to your calendar program on your computer and open the meeting event for your Zoom meeting

 

Copy the link to the meeting

Then log in to Cambro or Moodle and navigate to your course site

Publish the copied link in any of the tools together with the time for the Zoom meeting

Download and install Zoom on Android

This guide shows how to install Zoom on Android.

Open Google Play to download and install Zoom.
Search for Zoom Cloud Meetings and click on Download and install

Open the Zoom app and click on Sign In

Choose to log in with SSO

Type umu as domain and click Continue

Choose Umeå University

Log in with your Umu Id

You have now completed the installation of Zoom on Android.

Download and install Zoom on iOS (iPhone/iPad)

This guide shows how to install Zoom on iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  • Go to App Store on the device and search for the app “Zoom Cloud meetings”
  • Choose Download
  • Then open the app Zoom Cloud meetings by pressing home button and then click the icon Zoom.
  • Choose Sign in
  • Choose to log in with SSO
  • Type umu in the field company domain
  • Choose OK
  • The log in page for UmuId at Umeå University will now open
    Type your UmuId and password
    Choose OK

  • Choose Open
  • Then decide if you want to allow Zoom to have access to your calendar.
  • Decide if you want to enable Siri
  • Decide if you want to enable Zoom to send notifications
  • You have now completed the installation of Zoom.

Download and install Zoom on Windows

This guide shows how to download and install Zoom on a computer running Windows.

1. Go to http://zoom.umu.se/

2. Click on Download Client.

3. Click Download below the headline “Zoom Client for Meetings”

4. Choose “Save file” to download the Zoom installation program to your computer

5. Double click on the downloaded program (ZoomInstaller.exe) to start the installation.

When the installation is complete you will be redirected to the log in screen.

6. Click on Login with SSO

7. Type umu in the field company domain and then click Continue

8. Type your Umu Id and password and then click Logga in

You have now completed the installation of Zoom.

Download and install Zoom on Mac OS

This guide shows how to download and install Zoom on Mac OS.

1. Go to http://zoom.umu.se/

2. Click on Download Client.

3. Click on Download right under the headline “Zoom Client for Meetings”

4. Choose “Open and install” then click on OK

5. Click Continue

When the installation is finished Zoom will launch automatically.

6. Click on Login with SSO

7. Type umu in the field company domain and click on Continue

8. Type your Umu Id and password, click on  Logga in

You have now completed the installation of Zoom.
